Personal profile:
Dr. Sui Haixia is a researcher at the China National Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment. Her main research fields include research on hygiene toxicology methods and mechanisms, as well as the development and application of chemical risk assessment techniques. She is responsible for risk assessment of food related products in China. Dr. Sui has presided over and completed multiple national priority risk assessment projects, including phthalates, metals migrated from stainless steel products. She also developed multiple risk assessment guidelines, such as safety evaluation of food contact materails,risk assessment of NIAS, and is currently carrying study on next generation risk assessment. She is a member of the China National Expert Committee on Food Safety Risk Assessment, a member of the International Liaison Group on Methods for Risk Assessment of Chemicals in Food (ILMERAC), and a member of the National Food Safety Standards Review Committee. She edited/translated 5 works and published over 100 papers. Dr. Sui won the second prize of the 2020 Guangdong provincial science and technology award, the second prize of the 2020 China food science and technology association science and technology innovation and technology progress award.
